In Memory of my classmate and friend Dolores. Lincoln High School class of 1966 Tacoma Washington.

Services will be arranged by Morley-Mellinger Funeral Home for Miss Dolores Theda Stepp, 23, of 6835 E. Roosevelt Ave., who was found dead at her home Thursday of a gunshot wound.

She was born in Saline County, Kansas, and had lived in Tacoma since she was 2. She was a legal statistician for the Pierce County Legal Assistance Foundation. She was a member of the Portland Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include her parents, Ernest H. and Theda M. Stepp, and four brothers, Ernest, Stephen and Charles, all of the home, and Barry in the Army at Ft. Rucker Ala.

Published in the Tacoma News Tribune December 2, 1971 page D-7.

I remember Dolores as being very quite, shy but friendly in school. She was a good student and was liked by her classmates.

Dolores was murdered by her ex-boyfriend. I was saddened to hear that she died so young and dreadfully.

Dolores was a beloved daughter, sister, classmate and friend to many. May her memory and love will live on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her; as the journey of love is long and does not end in death.
