Steven Robert Bittell, raised in Doylestown, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 2, 2018. He was 57. He was born March 30, 1961 in Belleville, N.J. to Robert James Bittell and Marilyn Audrey (English) Bittell. Steve was a 1980 graduate of Central Bucks High School East and he attended Bucks County Community College. He worked as a General Contractor, enjoying every aspect of building and construction. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and rooting for his favorite sports teams, the Philadelphia Phillies and the Eagles. He is survived by his brother, Michael Bittell (Ruth) of Lansdale; his sisters, Deborah Smith (Jeff) of Richmond, Va. and Susan Spangler (Steven) of New Oxford, Pa.; and nieces and nephews, April (Bittell) and Joe Fetterman and their children, Lila and Marley, Eric Bittell (Toni) and their children, Natalie and Orion, Benjamin Smith (Alyssa) and their son, Koen, Noah Spangler, Samuel Smith, and Faith Spangler. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Bittell, and his father, Robert Bittell. Steve loved being with his family and he was a proud uncle, always asking to hear about his nephews’ and nieces’ accomplishments. He loved his friends as brothers and we know if he was here today, he would be very grateful for all of their friendship and support throughout the years. Relatives and friends will be received at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21, for a luncheon and memorial service to follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic School, 101 N.
