William McGovern Jr., 78, of Fulton died at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital, Fulton. He was born in Fulton to William and Margaret McGovern, and he has remained a life resident of Fulton. Mr. McGovern was a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School, class of 1945. He retired from Birdseye, Fulton, having worked as an accountant. He was a member of the Fulton Polish Home, and he was a communicant and an usher of Immaculate Conception Church. He is survived by five first cousins, William Chapman of Fulton, Jack Walsh of Fulton, Thomas Walsh of PA, Rosemary Gillard of Vestal, NY, Marge Moore of Fulton, and additional extended family. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas McGovern. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 West Second St. S., Fulton. Calling hour will be held Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fulton. Contributions may be made to the Church of the Immaculate Conception Church, 309 Buffalo St., Fulton, NY 13069.
