My Grandmother, Etta Gilbertine Christiani was born on April 9, 1894 in Georgetown, British Guiana, South America. She was the daughter of Charles Chatterton Christiani and Emma McDavid. She married James Cumberbatch (date unknown)and had one daughter, Emma M. Cumberbatch. James died in about 1924 in British Guiana. Etta later married Arthur Perez in Georgetown. They had 5 children together. After the death of her second husband, Etta moved to Canada in the 1950's. She died in Toranto at the age of 97.
