On July 3, 1940, Marjorie and Wesley Kirschner were married. They had been married 65 years at the time of Mr. Kirschner death. The Kirschners moved to Munday, Texas in 1952. Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid gardener and was well known for her flower and vegetable gardens, which she enjoyed sharing with others. She was a member of the Munday Garden Club and was especially happy making arrangements for the residents of the Munday Nursing Home. Her hobbies included cooking, trying new recipes, reading, sewing and quilting. She also was a checker and Beaty's Grocery and M-System.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, her son in law Bill Fitzgerald, one granddaughter Celeste and one sister and brother in law, Bernice and K.E. Lindsey.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Fitzgerald on Munday, TX; one son and daughter in law, Charles and Vicki Kirschner of Austin, TX; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 9, 2018 at First United Methodist Church at 10:30A, officiated by Rev. Benji Van Fleet. Interment will follow in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home in Munday.
