He was employed at the Hagerstown Rubber Co. for 35 years serving as vice president, and general manager. For the past five years he served as district court commissioner. He was a member of the Haven Lutheran Church in Hagerstown. He was past master of the Hagerstown Lodge 217 A.F.&.A.M., and a member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, the Hagerstown Lions Club, and the Fountain Head Country Club.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred W. Wachter Fiery; daughter, Lynda F. Morgan, Hagerstown; sister, Louise S. Elliott, Hagerstown; and three grandsons.
Services were held at the Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro. Burial in Rest Haven Cemeteyr.
