Anthony "Buddy" Joseph Amoroso IV, a devoted husband, and loving father and grandfather, passed away on the morning of Saturday, June 30 in St. Francisville, Louisiana. He was 61, and a resident and native of Baton Rouge. Buddy was born to Anthony and Patricia Amoroso on December 5, 1956. He attended Broadmoor High School, and was a graduate of Oral Roberts University. He was a small business owner in Baton Rouge, and worked for the family business, Prime Properties. Buddy was the definition of a public servant. He was a founding member and co-chair of Baton Rouge Tax Busters. Buddy is survived by his wife of 37 years, Denise Waters Amoroso; a son, Anthony Joseph Amoroso V; two daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Thaddeaus Swart, Michal Ann and Joshua Traina; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Vickie and Harold Keith, JoAnn and Greg Alford, Lori and David Planchard, Mary Pat and Trent Thevenot; his mother, Patricia Hidalgo Amoroso; and five grandchildren, Lilla Charlotte Traina, Josie Abigail Traina, Joseph Anthony Traina, and Asher Leland McCoy Swart, as well as many nieces, and nephews.
