Born Sunday, March 1, 1959 in Winnfield, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Tracy Harrel.
After he graduated from LSU, Al worked for many years at his families' business, Harrel Builder's Supply. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Winnfield. Mr. Harrel loved music, was an avid sports collector and accomplished carpenter. He loved all things LSU and Saline Lake.
Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Mr. Tracy Lee Harrel; daughter, Christine Harrel; son, Nicholas Harrel; son, Marty Hebert; daughter, Caroline Harrel; daughter, Alison Harrel; 4 grandchildren; and brother, Martin Harrel.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield from noon until time of services.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Southern Funeral Home. Private interment will follow at a later date in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Grace Teen Challenge and/or The Youth Department of First United Methodist Church of Winnfield.
