St. Fidelis Cemetery was purchased in 1888 and dedicated in 1889. Until the end of 1878 the parish had no real cemetery, but buried the dead on the prairie below the village, facing the creek. A stone cross marks the site of a cemetery, located northwest of St. Fidelis Cemetery, which was used from 1879 until 1889. Names on the base of this cross commemorate those whose bodies were not transferred to the new cemetery.
