Johnny Laird was born to J. L. “Shorty” Laird and Bernice Laird in Columbia, LA on October 26, 1954. He passed away at his residence in Manassas, VA, on March 4, 2018. He is survived by sister Lucy Clampit and husband Jerry of Houston, TX; brother Paul Laird and wife Celia of Sterlington, LA; nephews Major Marcus Laird of the United States Air Force and Alex Laird and wife Casey of Tyler, TX.

Johnny grew up in Kelly, LA and graduated from Caldwell Parish High School in Columbia. John worked for Johnny’s Pizza in Monroe, LA, for many years. Johnny Huntsman, owner, helped John complete his degree in Geology from NLU (ULM). John recently retired from the United States Defense Mapping Agency where he earned many awards for distinguished service.

A time of remembrance will be held at 11:30 am May 26, 2018 at Johnny’s Pizza House 102 Wallace Rd., West Monroe, LA.
