JAMES OREN STATON
Funeral services were held for James Oren Staton Saturday, July 26 from First Baptist Church, Union. Rev. Terrell Suggs and Rev. J. P. Bush officiated at the 3 p.m., service with interment in Union Cemetery.
Staton, age 85, of Union, was a member of First Baptist Church, Union. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Laird Hospital, July 24.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bernice Staton; 2 sons, Travis Staton of Clinton and Carlos Staton of Merrillvile, Ind; and 5 grandchildren.
