Myrle Ann Arnold was born December 26, 1931 in Sylvester, GA, the daughter of Nead and Mattie Walker Arnold. She married Hubert Nolan Zorn and worked as an LPN at Ashburn Nursing Home and Tift Area Hospital in the newborn nursery. Myrle was a member of Sycamore First United Methodist Church, Phoebe Putney Golden Key Club, Turner County Keenagers, and Ashburn Prime Timers.
Myrle loved collecting tea sets, playing the piano, and listening to country music (as Billy can attest). Her favorite musician was Alan Jackson and she was always excited when a new album was released. Myrle was an avid newspaper reader and supplemented her information on current events with television broadcasts. Rarely was there a happening event that Myrle wasn’t abreast of.
Survivors include her niece and care giver, Elon Gossett, and her husband, Billy; and seven nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Myrle was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Nolan Zorn.
