Nancy M. Gouker, 64, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of Robert L. Gouker, Jr., to whom she was married 43 years. Born February 1, 1954 in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Ellwood D. and Helen R. (Slagle) Heiser.
Nancy was employed at Hanover Hall Nursing Center as the RN Assessment Coordinator. She was a 1972 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, McSherrystown, and a 1975 graduate of Lancaster General School of Nursing. Nancy was a member of the PANAC (PA Nursing Assessment Coordinators) and the Lancaster General Alumni Association. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are three children, Michael Gouker and fiancé Allison Bostrom of Rockville, MD, Jennifer Baker and husband Steven of Hanover and Kristine Denney and husband Jack of York; five grandchildren, Alyssa, Jared and Michael Denney and Erica and Zachary Baker; four siblings, Ronald and Stephen Heiser of McSherrystown, William Heiser and wife Pam of Spring Grove and Debra Long and husband Robert of Hanover.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Sacred Heart Basilica, Hanover, with Rev. Joseph R. Howard as celebrant. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
