OBITUARY

Malinda DeVore was born in Jefferson Co., Ind. Nov. 12, 1823, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stamp L. Inman, Sat., May 2, 1908, being 84 years, 5 months and 24 days.

She was united in marriage to William Ridlen June 18, 1843. To them were born 11 children, 5 boys and six girls - five dying in infancy. Of the eleven, only four are living, Mrs. M. J. Bruffey (Jane), of Montana, Mrs. S. L. Inman (Rachel) of Earlham, Mrs. W. A. Inman (Sabra) of Harlan, Ia. and Mrs. Clark Harmon (Mary) of Bussey, Iowa.

She and her husband settled in Marion Co., Iowa in an early day, that being her home until about three and one-half years ago, when she came to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. S. L. Inman, at who's home she passed peacefully away. Her husband passed away Nov. 10, 1891.

She was converted and joined the Meth. E. church when young and remained a faithful christian to the end often in her last days expressing a desire to go home.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Inman home and the remains were taken to her old Marion county home for interment.
