Carol Lee (Ratajczak) Borkowski, 73, of Putnam, formerly of Chicago, passed away June 24, 2018, in Pleasant View Lutheran Home, Ottawa.

A loving mother and homemaker, Carol was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing authentic Polish dishes for her family and friends, especially over the holidays. She was a devoted supporter of her children, Andrew and Daniel, never missing an athletic event or a school activity. She adored her granddaughters, Torey, Allison and Morgan and took every opportunity to share their activities and accomplishments with anyone with whom she had contact.
In addition to her loving devotion to her family, Carol was active in her community. She was a member of the Ladies Friendship Club and Wii Bowling League at Lake Thunderbird in Putnam, Illinois. She was also active in the Daughters of Isabella and was a bingo caller at Heartland Healthcare Center, Henry.
She is survived by her two sons, Andrew (Jennifer) and Daniel (Heather); and three granddaughters, Torey, Allison and Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Borkowski; her brother, Tom Ratajczak; and her sisters, Judy Zuncic and Barabara Jablonski.
