Funeral services for Joyce M. Ballard, 70, of Abilene and formerly of Sweetwater, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2007, in the First Apostolic Church with the Rev. Winnie Glasgow officiating.

Burial will follow in the Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of Cate-Spencer and Trent Funeral Home of Sweetwater.

Ms. Ballard died Tuesday, April 24, 2007, in the Coronado Nursing Center in Abilene.

She was born on Aug. 5, 1936, in Navarro County. Ms. Ballard was a homemaker and member of the First Apostolic Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Lana McCain and her husband, Aubrey, of Sweetwater and Linda Means of Irving; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; her step-mother, Leona Harper of Brownwood; one brother, Jackie Parsons of Midland; and two sisters, Diane Bean of Irving and Barbara Zaring of Tulsa, Okla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jahue Jackson and Leta Jewell Parsons; two brothers and one sister.
