Parents: Henry Durrett bc 1770 Caroline Co., Virginia & died about 1836 in Christian Co., Kentucky.His wife was Mary bc 1775 Va & died after 1850 in Christian Co., Ky.Some say she was Mary Cammack based on a POA but be very careful before you accept that surname.
Grandparents: Henry was the oldest son of Captain William Durrett (24 Nov 1748 Spotsylvania Co & d 25 Jan 1804 Caroline Co. & his first wife Abigail Terrell (b 6 Dec 1751 & died around 1788 Caroline Co)
Capt. William Durrett. His obit reads: "Died on the 25ult Capt Wm Durrett of Caroline Co. He was amusing himself in the fields fowling when he suddenly fell from his horse and expired without a groan. He leaves a wife & a number of children" Va Herald issue of 10 Feb 1804.

It should be noted that the 1880 census reveals George now married or living with a woman that is age 54. George's first wife, Elizabeth, died in 1874. This listed wife, Elizabeth (FAG 46980414) is believed to be his second wife. The child, Otis M. Burrett, is by George and his first wife. The two children - Charles Nance and Etter Nance are children of Elizabeth and Allen Nance (FAG 46980311), her former husband who died in 1873.
Elizabeth and Allen Nance are buried in the Nance Family Cemetery, Desoto, Dallas Co., TX.
