Glen Brimmage taught many things to his children and grandchildren. But he never needed to teach the concepts of sacrifice and faith, for he embodied them in his actions. He freely gave everything he had to those he loved, and he never worried about his own needs until he had cared for those around him. His passion for God led him to believe that priorities in life should be faith, family, and then work. This faith in God shielded him through tribulations, allowing him to fight through round after round of cancer without losing his positivity or his patience. In the end, it was his body that failed, not his spirit. The love of his life— Dorothy Brimmage, who passed away in November 2011— called him home, and he went to be with her on May 8th at 12:30AM. Glen is survived by his three sons: Brian, Christopher, and Mark. He is also survived by his second wife, Vickie, and her children, Sarah and Nikki, who were like daughters to him. To his grandchildren he was Papa, and he loved them all: Briscoe, Margot, Michael, Lincoln, Augustus, Addie, Anders, Hannah, and Elizabeth. Glen also leaves behind a beloved brother, Chris. The list of surviving friends and family could go on forever, because so many people meant so much to Glen. His visitation will be Friday, May 11, from 6PM-8PM at Williams Funeral Home, 1600 S Garland Ave, Garland, TX, 75040. His funeral will be at the same location on Saturday at 3:30PM.
