Alice V. Moody was born on July 9, 1869 in Muskegon, Michigan, and departed this life on December 15, 1966, at the age of 97 years, five months. She was the granddaughter of the first white settlers in Fremont Township. She graduated from Angola High School and from the Music Department of Tri-State College. She was married to James A. Moody in 1897. After his death in 1937, she moved from their farm in York Township to Angola. She was a faithful member of the Angola Church of Christ. She has been bedfast since the summer of 1963. She leaves to mourn a daughter, Bernice Horrall of Clear Lake; a son, J. Preston Moody of York Township; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Weicht Funeral Home on Saturday, December 17th., with Rev. Kenneth C. Thomas officiating. Interment was in Circle Hill Cemetery.
