PARKS - Marie R. “Mary”, 89, Johnstown, died June 21, 2018, at Richland Woods. She was born February 2, 1929, in Bad Aibling Germany, daughter of the late Leonhard and Maria (Rank) Maier. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald M. Parks. She is survived by her children, Barbara Misosky, and husband, Philip “Pete”, Johnstown; and Brian Parks, and wife, Colleen, Wernersville; grandchildren, Matthew Sernell, Rachel Sernell, Sarah (Misosky) Morgan, and husband, Bud; Michael Parks, and Joseph Parks; and sister, Linda Lyman, Cherry Hill, NJ. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. She retired from Glosser Brothers Department Store. She was an avid seamstress and cat lover. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 pm Sunday at Henderson Funeral Home East Hills, 2503 Bedford Street where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral mass will be at 10 am Monday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, the Rev, David S. Peles, celebrant. Entombment will be at Grandview Mausoleum. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Windber Hospice. www.hendersonfuneralhome.com
