Ruth S Hand

AUGUST 14, 1934 - JUNE 18, 2018

Ruth S Hand 83 Beloved wife of Pastor Clarence E. Hand, Sr. Died peacefully June 18, 2018 in her home with her family by her side.

She was born in Dothan, AL to the late Walter & Delphia Watford. Ruth grew up in Panama City FL where she met the love of her life at the age of 9. Ruth and Clarence were married for 67yrs. They moved to Tampa FL and Pastored First Apostolic Church of Tampa for 50yrs. Ruth had 2 children Cynthia (Michael) Webb, Seffner FL, Clarence Jr (Lois) Hand Marion, IN. She has 4 Grandchildren Jeffrey (Andria) Webb, Tarrah (Daniel) Mundy, Chadney (Cynthia) Hand, Sean (Sarah) Webb.

Ruth has 12 Great Grandchildren. Cynthia has 6 grandchildren, Haylee, Grayson, Natalya, Emmy, Ainsley & Lennox. Clarence Jr has 6 grandchildren, Samantha, Tabitha, Addalyn, Bruklyn, Jenalyn & Huntley.

Ruth was preceded in death by her siblings Grady Watford, Inez Cobb, Harmon Watford, Eula Mae McCall, Esther Meredith. She is survived by siblings Hazel Andring, Eura B Baell, Walter Watford, Jr., Gwendolyn Bruner, Muriel Kirkland,

Ruth worked for GTE for 23yrs as a Service Representative. Ruth loved her Church Family and being a Pastors wife. The Church family was very devoted to her to the end. She was a wonderful cook and always made sure to have food ready for family and company. Her grandkids called her Nona and they loved her Sunday dinners, her homemade ice cream, Red Velvet Cake and her Banana Pudding. She loved singing and playing the Piano.

Ruth was loved by many and will be missed.

We want to thank Hospice and especially Tonja for her daily loving care for all they did for her. Thank-you First Apostolic Church family for all of your love and support you have given and for always being there.

Viewing will be Friday June 22 from 6pm-8pm. Funeral service will be Saturday June 23 at 2pm. Viewing and service will be at First Apostolic Church 10720 Broadway Ave East Tampa.

Burial will be on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
