Obituary for Marguiett C. Rucker
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS-Marguiett Crew Rucker passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018.
A celebration of life service will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Chapel, officiated by her grandson, Matt Raines. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Frontier Camp, 131 Frontier Camp Road, Grapeland, Texas, 75844.
Marguiett was born June 22, 1924, in , to Ada and D.C. Crew. Hers was a life well-lived and she touched many lives of family, friends, and co-workers. Marguiett worked most of her life in the business side of the healthcare field. She retired at age 91 after working 40 years for Dr. Roger and Dr. David Bohannan, D.D.S. Marguiett was a longtime member of North Pointe Baptist Church in Hurst. Her life was characterized by her faith and belief in Jesus Christ, and her love of her family and many, many friends.
The last six years of her life were spent at the Wellington Retirement Community.
We are so thankful and appreciative of her wonderful caregivers over the last few months (who she considered her friends as well) from Wellington, Heartland, and Hospice.
Marguiett was preceded in death by the love of her life, Thurman Rucker, on October 10, 1997, after over 50 years of marriage; her parents, Ada and D.C. Crew; one sister; and three brothers.
Survivors: Daughters, Sharon Rucker Phillips and husband, John, of Arlington, Texas and Barbara Rucker Raines and husband, Terry, of College Station, Texas; grandchildren, Jeff and Leigh Ann Phillips, Julie Phillips Ellison and Monte Ellison, Tim Raines, and Matt and Maggie Raines; nine great-grandchildren; and in May of 2017, her first great-great-granddaughter.
