Russel, 92, passed away June 19, 2018. He was born to Waldo and Eunice Scovill.

He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army following WWII. Russel graduated from Sexton High School, then from MSU with an engineering degree.

He worked for the State of Michigan as an Occupational Health Engineer, retiring after 33 years of employment.

He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church and Mid-West Tool Collector Society, as well as being active with Friends of Historic Meridian.

Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Elaine; sons, Roger (Shirlee) Scovill and Douglas (Pam) Scovill; daughter-in-law, Amy Scovill; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son Kenneth Scovill and his daughter, Jeanette Adams.

The funeral service was held Monday, June 25, 2018, at First Presbyterian Church, Lansing. Interment took place in Evergreen Cemetery Monday.
