Morris "Butch" Alfson Jr. was born to Morris and Lois (Yeoman) Alfson on December 11, 1946.
Butch enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing darts, gardening and baking. He lived in Harmony most of his life.
He worked as a baker, Heco Ent., and Crop Production Services for almost 21 years.
Butch married Virginia Ryan; daughter Lisa was born to this union, they later divorced.
Butch later married Peggy Johnson; his three sons: Jason, Jamie and Cory were born to this union, they later divorced.
Butch honorably served as a Private in the US Army during the Vietnam Era from 1964-1967. During his service he was stationed in Germany and France and received the National Defense Service Medal as well as the Marksman and Sharpshooter Badges.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa; sons: Jason (Trina), Jamie, and Cory (Laura); brother Dennis (Gayle); sister Lynell Shanks; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Special friend Sandy "Sam."
He is preceded in death by his parents; Morris Sr. and Lois, and sister Virginia.
Services are at the Veteran's Cemetery in Preston MN on Tuesday June 26th at 1:00 pm. Following the service lunch will be served at the B & B Bowl in Preston.
