Donald was born October 20, 1934 in Flint, Michigan to the late Charles and Nellie Buckley. He married his wife Sharalyn on December 30, 1965. Donald enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, yard work, traveling, coffee hour, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He retired from GTE (Verizon Communications) in 1990, and served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Donald is survived by his children: Shannon (Chuck) Rice, Tersa (Roger) Elwood, Shawn Larkin [Dennis Westbrook], Tammy Cooper [Richard Jaccqes], sister: Carol Buckley, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Donald Jr., and several siblings. The family shares a special thanks to his nurses: Melony, Terry, Carly, Debbie, Kris, Alana.
