Mary Marlene Brown of Smithfield Road, Bowdon passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Brooks County, February 26, 1954, daughter of the late James Tyrie Bires and Eva Dean Fuller Bires. Mary was employed by Royal Creations.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lester Brown, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Hollis; two daughters, Rachel and Patrick Butler of Chattanooga, Tn and Patricia and Brandi George of Bowdon; grandchildren, Brittany Walton, Carrollton and three great grandchildren; Cody Butler, Chattanooga, TN, Mason Duffie, Bowdon, Audree Duffie of Bowdon; two sisters, Beverly and David Staton of Villa Rica, Janice and Dewayne Woodruff of Ranburne, AL; four brothers, John and Juanita Bires of Carrollton, Robert Warren, Panama City, FL, William Bires of Douglasville and Joey and Amanda Bires of Winston.
Services will be Wednesday, June 20 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Brother Michael Powers officiating. Music will be furnished by Randy Jackson. Mason Duffie, Cliff Brown, Matthew Pawley, Brian Warren, Allen Williams, Ben Staton, Tim Tant and Charlie Clay will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Mountain View Baptist Cemetery.
