Born Jan. 5, 1936, in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Locke Hayden Isenhour and Elizabeth Miller Isenhour.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Seaboch Isenhour.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Isenhour had retired from Corning and loved camping, fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his daughter, Shayla Delane Isenhour of Hickory; stepson, Robin L. Hunt and wife, Cathy, of Hickory; stepgranddaughter, Kristen Nicole Hunt of Hickory; sister, Annie I. Cabe of Hickory; brothers, Bill E. Isenhour of Hickory, Kenneth L. Isenhour of Claremont, Gary H. Isenhour of Conover; and a number of loving nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 21, in the chapel at Bass-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m., prior to the service.
