Mrs. Clinard was born in Lenoir, Sept. 11, 1934, to William and Lucy Prestwood.
She graduated from Thomasville High School in 1953 where she met her husband of 59 years, the late Rev. Robert M. Clinard, who passed away in Oct. of 2012.
Survivors include a daughter, Diane Clinard Jordan and husband, Jimmy, of Charlotte; her son, Charles Clinard and wife, Cheri, of Boiling Spring Lakes; two grandchildren, Robert S. Clinard and wife, Kelly, of Clarence Center, N.Y., and James R. "Robbie" Jordan of Mooresville; two great-grandchildren, Joseph Clinard and Jacob Clinard of Clarence Center, N.Y.; three sisters, Lillian Craig, Marie Dellinger, and Dorothy Hamby, all of Granite Falls. Mrs. Clinard was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shelly Leigh Clinard formerly of Boiling Spring Lakes; sisters, Louise Sears, Mary Arnett, and Ann Baker; and three brothers, Arnold, Eugene, and Marshall Prestwood.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 20, at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville.
