Mrs. Bertha Adams (1971)Mrs. Bertha Adams, 85, formerly of Valley Ave., died Thursday, Aug. 26, at 9:30 at City Hospital after a lengthy illness. She had been a patient at the Greystone Nursing Home in Wellsville. She was born at St. Marys W. Va., March 24, 1886, a daughter of Alex Bailey and Sara Seevers Bailey. She spent most of her life here. Her husband Joseph Adams died July 29, 1959. She is survived by four sons, Clarence Adams, George Adams and Thomas Adams, all of East Liverpool, and Dudley Adams of Warren; three daughters, Mrs. John (Lucille) Lohri of East Liverpool, Mrs. Robert (Phyllis) Hailes of Orlando, Fla. And Mrs. James (Jean) Fluharty of Warren; two sisters, Mrs. William (Carrie) Weidner and Mrs. Abe (Ruth) Samberson, both of East Liverpool; 26 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Services were held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Home by the Rev. Jonathon McKeown of the Oakland Free Methodist Church. Burial was in Spring Grove Cemetery. Mr. And Mrs. Don Adams and Mrs. Omie Cox attended the funeral service.

Bertha & Joseph were married in Pleasants County on 22 FEB 1905 by D.H. Davis.
