Graveside services for Brenda G. Yarnell, 64, of Chickasha, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018 in Fort Cobb Cemetery with Pastor Gary Rogers officiating.

Brenda G. (Brown) Yarnell was born on September 19, 1953 in Stockton, California, the daughter of Troy “Pete” Brown and Athlee (Pinner) Brown. She passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Brenda grew up and attended school in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. Over the years, she had worked as a CNA, a CMA, and as a respiratory therapist. She had also received her real estate license, and after attending night school to get her certification she went to work as an abstractor for Lacey Pioneer Abstract Company in Anadarko, Oklahoma which was also associated with the Caddo County Courthouse, where she would also work and she retired from there after 13 years.

She was raised Baptist but years ago she attended Grand Assembly of God Church located on Grand Avenue where Brother Larry Hatfield preached. She was at peace with the Lord during her final days.

Brenda enjoyed spending time outside, raising a garden, bonfires, and cooking with her grandchildren. Included in her favorite hobbies were crocheting and keeping up-to-date on Facebook with her friends. She lived for her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids; they were her world.

She was preceded in death by both parents; sister, Donna Faye Brown; nephew, Michael W. Brown; niece, Tina Michelle Brown; special friend, Debbie McWaters; and many aunts and uncles.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Ivan Bradford of Chickasha; daughter, Laurie McCauley Zimmerman and husband, Mark, of Fayetteville, North Carolina; grandsons, Blayne McDonald and his wife, Kymberly, of Yukon, Alex Wilson and girlfriend, Peyton Mitchell, of Weatherford, Preston McCauley of Fort Cobb, and Tyler Dean Wilkerson, wife, and children of Anadarko; granddaughter, Tatym Walley Bradford of Chickasha; great-grandchildren, Britleigh McDonald; sister Linda Allen, of Chickasha; brother, Coy Brown and wife, Danetta, of Minco; sister, Patsy Cornwall and husband, Steve, of Chickasha; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends, including Rhonda Mills and Barb.

Services and interment will be held at Fort Cobb Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
