Mr. Duffee was born on December 16, 1925 in Spalding County to the late Homer W. Duffee and the late Pearl M. Bishop Duffee. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ann Blair Graham Duffee. Mr. Duffee was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Duffee, great granddaughter, Miranda Hatfield and 6 brothers and 1 sister. He attended Phillips Drive Baptist Church.
Survivors include children Betty Shirley, Barbara Presley and David Anderson; sister, Jean Flynt; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. George A. Duffee will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2010 in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend David Scott will officiate. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park and Mausoleum. Friends may visit the family Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
