Larry Neihart, 63, of Bloomington, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Bloomington Hospital. He was born Feb. 10, 1944 in Indianapolis to the late Clarence and Naomi (DeFrees) Neihart. He retired from Cummins Engine in Columbus after 33 years of service, where he was also the president of the Diesel Workers Union. He also worked as a real estate agent for Sabbagh Pickens Real Estate Century 21 in Bloomington and attended the Assembly of God Church in Ellettsville. Survivors include: his wife, Ruth Ann (Fryar) Neihart of Bloomington, whom he married on Aug. 2, 1964; a daughter, Jill Neihart of Bloomington; son, Jeff and his wife Laurie of Flower Mound, Texas; a brother John and his wife Loeva Neihart of Martinsville; and his sister Joan and her husband Richard Vaughn of Bloomfield; and two granddaughters, Megan and Emily Neihart. Friends may call at the Day Funeral Home in Bloomington from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday. Service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jim Severn officiating. Burial will take place in Clear Creek Cemetery.
