"Jerry Allan Adamson, beloved husband of Kathleen Joyce "Kathy" Teets Adamson, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 10, 2018, in Uniontown Hospital.

He was born August 11, 1949, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Charles and Marybelle Day Adamson.
Jerry graduated from Waynesburg High School in 1969. He served in the National Guard for six years and worked at Cumberland Coal Mine for 41 years.

He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, where he served as head usher, prepared for communion services and served as president of Leland Bible Class, offering prayers every other Sunday on their Sunday school radio broadcast.

Jerry loved hunting, fishing, drawing cartoons and visiting the beach. He was a very loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be sadly missed by his wife, children and grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Kathy Adamson; a son, Gregg Adamson of Masontown; a daughter, Kristi Adamson Pierce and husband Bill of Coal Center; three grandchildren, Kodee and Madison Pierce and Alexis Michels; a brother, Edward Adamson and wife Dee of Virginia Beach, Va.; a sister, Martha Henderson and husband Ed of Rochester Hills, Mich.; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Shell Funeral Home Inc., 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, and until 11 a.m., the hour of services, Thursday, June 14, with the Rev. Timothy Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill."
