Syble Ann Emerson, 94, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, June 11, 2018 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Syble was born July 20, 1923 to Arrie Hisaw and Byrdie Casey.

She graduated from Arkansas State University and was employed with the Poplar Bluff School system.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff.

She was married to LeRoy Forister May 31, 1941 until his death in 1978. She married Loyd Emerson November 27, 1982 until his death in 2001.

Besides her parents and both husbands, Syble is preceded in death by her son, Charles Forister, her brothers, John Casey and James Casey, and her sisters, Pauline Pollard and Maxine Moore.

She is survived by her sisters, Ahmalee Barks, Iva Rowland and Norma Mondy, her daughter in law, LuWanna Forister, a special niece, Sue Pollard, step daughters, Teresa Emerson and Judy (Jim) Carman, a grandson, Jimmy (Rachel) Carman, and numerous nieces and nephews.
