Mrs. Piddock, 68 Dies in Mannsville
Mrs. Minnie Coral Piddock, 68, Widow of William H. Piddock died Saturday afternoon, September 3, 1955 at the Phillips nursing home in Mannsville, where she had been a patient since Aug. 30. She had been ill for the past ten years, and a year ago she underwent a leg amputation.
The funeral was Tuesday afternoon at the Piddock funeral home at Adams, Rev. Frank E. Morey, pastor of the. Mannsville First Methodist church, officiating. Burial was in the Union cemetery, Pierrepont Manor. The six bearers were nephews of Mrs. Piddock.
Survivors are a son, Leon W., and a daughter, Miss Jane A. Piddock, both of Mannsville; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Elizabeth) Woodward, Watertown, and two brothers, Myron Piddock, Watertown, and Mason Piddock, Manlius.
Mrs. Piddock was born August 11, 1887, in the town of Lorraine, daughter of Alvin and Amelia Bellinger Piddock.
On June 26, 1907, she was married to William Henry Piddock, Worth, at the Lorraine Methodist church, Rev. R. Earoy Bruce, officiating.
The couple lived on a farm in Lorraine for four years, and then moved to Pierrepont Manor. They later moved to Mannsville, where Mr. Piddock was in the real estate business until his death, Jan. 3, 1931.
Mrs. Piddock was a member of the W.S.C.S. at the First Methodist church there, a member of the Mannsville Grange, and was vice president of the local chapter of the W.C.T.U. until two years ago.
