Julie Worth Sprunt, 94, died peacefully June 10, 2018 in Memphis, Tennessee. Julie was born in Wilmington, North Carolina on November 30, 1923 to Julia Worth and Walter Payne Sprunt.
After receiving her BA and MA from Mary Baldwin and the University of Virginia respectively, Julie moved to Memphis where she practiced and taught psychology at then Memphis State University for many years.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister. She leaves many cherished nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Julie’s life at Idlewild Presbyterian Church on Friday, June 15 at 10:30 a.m. with reception to follow. A family burial will be held at a later date at Oakdale Cemetery in Wilmington, North Carolina.
