Oliver John Quincy Adams was the son of Zebulon and Minerva (Collins) Adams. Born in Willsboro, Essex Co., New York, he came to Illinois with his parents in 1839/40.
He married Ruth Elizabeth Bowles, dau. of Anderson and Margaret (Carter) Bowles Mar. 4, 1855 in DeWitt Co. Oliver John Quincy Adams and his wife, Ruth Elizabeth (Bowles) Adams died in 1875. Their eldest son, Horace Anderson was my great grandfather.
