Virginia Arana Davis, 85 of West Plains, MO, died March 23, 2005, in West Plains, MO. She was born the daughter of the late Griff L. Harrison and Rosie Mae Palmer Harrison on Sept. 9, 1919, in Thomasville, MO.
She was married Sept. 23, 1937, to George W. Crawford, and to this union three children were born.
On June 15, 1968, in St. Louis, MO, she married Oscar Davis.
She was a member of United Freewill Baptist Church in West Plains.
She was a well known hairdresser for many years.
She is survived by one son, Jimmy Dean Crawford and wife, Lavaughn of Thayer, MO; two daughters-in-law, Linda Crawford of Vinita, OK; and Romona Crawford of Dewey, OK; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; two sons, Robert Eugene Crawford and John Darrell Crawford; one brother, Herbert Harrison; two sisters, Maurine Josephine Holman, Lucille Beatty; and one grandson, Monty Eugene Crawford.
The funeral service was held on March 26 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, MO, with the Rev. Glenn Murray and the Rev. Clarence Burton officiating. Burial was in Thayer Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of Thayer, MO.
