Last Will & Testament of Henry Paddock
I, Henry Paddock, of the County of Union and the State of Indiana being old and infirm of body but of sound mind and memory and being anxious to dispose of my whole r—Estate at my decease do make and publish this my last will and testament and by this revoking all former wills by me made
First:
I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Meriam should she survive me the use, benefit, and profits of the farm on which we now reside during her natural life time together with fee simple of all and singular of the Personal property which I may be seized.
Second
I will and bequeath to my son Samuel the farm on which I now reside to take possession of the same immediately after my cease and the decease of his mother should she survive me with the following encumbrances to wit: the said Samuel is to pay to my son Henry immediately after taking possession of said farm, Eleven Hundred and fifty dollars and four years after taking possession of the homestead farm the said Samuel to my daughter Synthia two hundred dollars and to my Son Elijah Ebenezer Jonathan William and James to my daughter Rachel eight hundred dollars to be divided equal share and share alike between the said Elijah Ebenezer Jonathan William and James and Rachel.
In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my seal this tenth day of July AD 1849.
