MRS. BUTTS FUNERAL AT UNION CHURCH
Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Mollie) Butts of Union was held Saturday morning, July 17, at the First Baptist Church in Union. The Rev. Ferrell Cork, pastor, officiated, assisted by the Rev. H. G. Winstead and the Rev. J. J. Mullinax. Burial followed in Union Cemetery.
Mrs. Butts was the widow of Tom Butts. She leaves a son, Clifford Butts, and a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Wells, both of Gulfport; 4 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Denver Brackeen of East Central Junior College, Decatur, is a granddaughter.
Mrs. Butts had made her home with her daughter for many years, until her health failed. She was confined at a Philadelphia nursing home for some time, and her death occurred July 16, 1961, in the Neshoba County Hospital there. She was a member of the Union First Baptist Church.
