BUNTON
Mr. S. P. Bunton, aged 84, died Saturday at his home in the Kirkwood section of Mercer county, after a nine months illness due to paralysis. Mr. Bunton was one of the most highly esteemed men of Mercer, being an upright citizen who was popular with everyone. He was twice married, a daughter and son of the first union surviving. Besides his widow, by his second marriage he leaves the following children: Mrs. Mary Jordon, Indianapolis; Mrs. Annie Parsons, Mercer county; Mrs. Lula Shely, Lawrenceburg; Mrs. Dora Cunningham, Mercer; Howard Bunton, Yuma, Arizona; Mrs. Lillie Cunningham and J. T. Bunton, of Mercer county. His funeral was at the Presbyterian church at Salvisa Monday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. W. A. Stevenson and the burial was in Providence cemetery.
The following relatives from out of town attended the funeral: Mr. T. E. Sanders, Mrs. James Coonfield, Mrs. Edd Buckles, Mr. and Mrs. William Huffman, of Indianapolis; Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Jordon, Mr. and Mrs. John Jones, Bryon Jordon, of Greenwood, Indiana; Mrs. W. H. Cunningham, of Snowden, Va; Mr.and Mrs. Berry Parsons, of Louisville.
