M. Arlene Talbot

A memorial service for M. Arlene Talbot of Southeast Portland, a retired kitchen aide for the North Clackamas School District, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Immanuel Lutheran Church.

She died of kidney failure Wednesday in a Clackamas hospital. Mrs. Talbot was 72.

She was born Nov. 17, 1920, in Chester, Neb. She had lived in the Portland area for more than 40 years. Mrs. Talbot worked for the North Clackamas School District for eight years until her retirement in May. She previously had been a clerk for the Oregon Liquor Control Commission for 10 years until 1982.

Survivors include her daughters, Carla Stevens of Canby and Karen McQuilliam of Portland; sister, Jean George of Belleville, Kan.; brother, Dale Spicer of San Antonio, Texas; and five grandchildren.

Disposition was by cremation.

The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Oregon chapter of the American Lung Association.
