Etha Louise Hudson, 83, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, in Dumas. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Stratford Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Metzger, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Stratford, officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. Hudson was born April 21, 1919, in Iowa Park. She was a teacher for the Spurlock community. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Stratford. She married Rex Hudson on May 20, 1942, in Lawton, Okla. She was a resident of Stratford for 54 years. She was raised in Bushland. The family would like to send a special thanks to Memorial Hospital and Memorial Hospice in Dumas. She was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 25, 1994; and two brothers, Ralph Austin and J.C. Austin. Survivors include two daughters, Sheri Rasmussen of Austin and Lisa Sykes of Alamosa, Colo.; three brothers, O.E. Austin Jr. of Houston, the Rev. Bill Austin of Amarillo and Charles Austin of Wichita Falls; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
