Served Medical Internship at Jefferson Davis Hospital. Served as Captain in the US Army Medical Corps during World War II. Survivors: Wife,. Mrs. Peggy Butera; daughters and sons-in-law, Louise M. and John L. Maida, Rosalie C. and J. Calvin Smith and Marian J. and Emmanuel Camarata; sons, James M. Butera, Jr., Joseph M. and daughter-in-law, Vivian Butera, Michael A. Butera and Paul J.
