Son of Mary Florence Young and Charles Allaster Dobbins. Husband of Myrtis Calhoun; married August 6, 1938.

James Marshall Dobbins, 54, of 3629 Huston St. died at 12:45 a.m. Thursday at Willis-Knighton Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
A native of Arcadia, Mr. Dobbins was an auto mechanic and had lived in Shreveport since 1956. He was a member of the Queensborough Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Wellman's Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. David L. Jenkins, pastor of Queensborough Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Park West Cemetery.
Mr. Dobbins is survived by his widow, Mrs. Myrtis Calhoun Dobbins, two sons, Barry Neal Dobbins of Shreveport and Alton L. Dobbins of the U.S. Air Force in Tucson, Ariz.; one daughter Rita Ellen Dobbins of Shreveport, and one sister, Mrs. Mildred Gantt of Athens.
Pallbearers will be Malcolm McKellar, Amos Brittain, Wayne McInnis, Luther Rasberry, Bill Stone and Don War.
