The Ash Swamp Cemetery is a small, unmarked cemetery which only has 14 standing headstones. It is surrounded by a wooden fence, Next to the golf course.
LOCATION:
The cemetery is on West Street in Keene, NH. The cemetery is located on the west edge of Keene, NH, on a 20' high hill near the corner of West St and Base Hill Rd. There are some wooden steps that someone built for access to it. (See Photo) It's about 20' above the road elevation on the N. side of West Street.
DIRECTIONS:
If you are on Route 9 on the west side of Keene going North, you exit at West Street and cross under 9 and about 150 yd on the left you turn left to go on West Street and then go about 3/4 mile and it will be where you see the steps on the right, just before the creek that goes thru the golf course.
