Charles G. Bolt, 64, of Wellington, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Mercy New Life Hospice following a brief illness. He was born November 22, 1953 in Oberlin, Ohio.
Chuck attended Wellington High School. While in school, in addition to the family farm chores, he worked at several farms in the Brighton and Wellington area. Most recently, he was employed 11 years as a mechanic at ESS in Medina, OH before retiring in March, 2018. Previously, he was employed 15 years at Standard Welding in Lorain, OH. He had also been a member of AA for 33 years.
In his spare time, Chuck enjoyed fishing, gardening, following the Cleveland Indians, reading and woodworking. His projects included intarsia, cabinetry and making furniture. He will be remembered by family and friends for his honesty, integrity and his ability to fix anything.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Patricia Bolt (nee White); son, Jesse Bolt, of LaGrange, OH and daughter, Robyn (Sean) Duley, of Fairborn, OH; six grandchildren; siblings, Lora (Keith) Floyd, of LaGrange, OH, Katherine Dingey, of Mocksville, NC, Terry (Robert) Lafferty, of Stuart, FL, Doug Bolt, of Wellington, OH, Greg (Betsy) Bolt, of Wellington, OH, Donna (Chuck) Hammersla, of Williamsport, MD, Deborah (Scott) Schuster, of Oberlin, OH, and Curtis Bolt (Shelly Foster), of Spencer, OH; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 6-8pm at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main Street, Wellington, where services will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 11am. The Reverend Father David Trask will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one of Chuck’s favorite places, Herrick Memorial Library, 101 Willard Memorial Square, Wellington. Expressions of sympathy and fond memories may be shared at www.norton-eastmanfuneralhome.com.
