Mrs. Gussie Duty, 69, of George Breech Apts., Monroe, died Wednesday night at E. A. Conway Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Ivey officiating.

Burial will be in Hasley Cemetery, West Monroe, under the direction of Hixson Brothers of Monroe.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ben Brooks, Mrs. Clifford Anderson, and Miss Annette Duty, all of Monroe; four brothers, George Cook, Fort Worth, Tex., Raleigh Cook of Castor, Melvin Cook of Saline, and [Acy?] Cook of Minden; seven sisters, Mrs. Jessie Pennington, of Monroe, Mrs. Dora Wilson, of Dallas, Tex., Mrs. Mattie Craw__ of Arcadia, Mrs. Sallie Mc__ of Saline, Mrs. Larkin S__ of New Orleans, Mrs. Vera Walsworth of Vidalia, and Mrs. Y__ Driggers of Shreveport; and nine grandchildren.
