Ethel Pearl Ramsey, 79, of Old River was born September 5, 1938, in Baytown and passed away Monday, June 4, 2018, in a local hospital. She owned The Cinder Block restaurant in Old River and was especially known for her pies, having won awards all over The State of Texas, including the State Fair of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Corrie Brandon; brother, James “Hot Shot” Brandon; husband, Bob Ramsey; and grandchildren, Morgan Wilburn and Harley Wilburn. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Larry and Denise Wilburn of Dayton, Toby Wayne Wilburn and Vonda Bonebrake of Dayton, and David Wilburn and Tulane Homann of Old River; brother, Arthur Clyde Brandon of Dayton; sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Bill Stafford of Leona; fourteen grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Wednesday, June 6, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at Navarre Funeral home on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Hunter Wilburn, Brandon Wilburn, Wesley Wilburn, Jacob Wilburn, Michael Schwab, and Kayden Thompson. Travis Arnold will be an honorary pallbearer.
