Services were held this morning at St. John's Catholic Church at Morton for William "Bill" Yonetz, 84, of Morton, who died Thursday. Rev. Harry Behan officiated and Bev. Sullivan was organist.
Pallbearers were Michael, Steven and James McCorquodale, Robert and Julius Christensen, and Nicholas Welu, Interment was at Royalton with Rev. Paul Zylla officiating. Nelson Funeral Home of Redwood Falls was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Yonetz was born March 30, 19002 at Royalton, a son of George and Catherine Waltman Yonetz. He attended Royalton school and during the 1920's he drove horses for a threshing crew in South Dakota.
He moved to Redwood Falls in the early 1930's and to Morton in 1945. He had a blacksmith shop at Franklin and retired in the 1970's. He was an Army veterans of World War II, a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the American Legion post at Morton.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Frank, and sisters, Mrs. Vicoria Baron, Mrs. Rose McCorquodale and Mrs. Tracy Oswald.
